«Путеводитель по ресторанам Шамони» (Restopoche) – самая необходимая вещь в Шамони для любого гурмана или человека просто увлеченного гастрономией и национальной кухней. Поэтому не примените зайти в наш туристический офис и взять этот путеводитель. В нем очень подробно написано о кухне некоторых ресторанов Шамони, что где готовят, какие вина делают в нашем регионе.

Основная масса ресторанов в Шамони представляют местную, савойскую кухню. Но есть также и китайские рестораны, японский, тайский, итальянские, мексиканский, специализированные рыбные рестораны и  пиццерии.

Наиболее ярко местная кухня представлена в ресторане La Calеche, где можно в полной мере прочувствовать атмосферу, присущую Шамони и этому региону Франции. Чтобы помочь вам сориентироваться в традиционных блюдах, мы предлагаем вам несколько типичных савойских названий и рецептов, которые вы сможете попробовать в Шамони.

Cавойский гратан (картофель с чесноком, запеченый в сметане), кускус (баранина и курица с томатами, морковью, кабачком и специями), лотарингский киш (холодная или горячая закуска – тесто с начинкой, залитое сметаной и яйцом), савойское фондю (фондю из нескольких сортов сыра – Эмменталя, Конта, Бофора, с белым вином, чесноком, мускатным орехом и горчицей, фондю с Рокфором).

Савойский омлет – это нарезанный на круглые куски картофель, который жарится в масле с солью и перцем, и заливается взбитыми яйцами и тертым сыром. Тартифлетт – жареный на кусочках сала картофель, залитый савойским сыром Реблошон и небольшим количеством сметаны (обычно подается с салатом и сухим белым савойским вином). Савойский раклетт – с ветчиной и картофелем, с несколькими видами колбас.
